Ayurvedic Spring Reset 2019

Join me on Sunday, April 28th (3-5 pm, $55+GST) at Yoga Public, 280 Fort St for this year’s Ayurvedic Spring Reset!

According to Ayurveda, the change of seasons is the natural time to reset ourselves, boost Agni (metabolism), and remove Ama (toxins). Learn about the complementary healing practices of Ayurveda and yoga to engage in a transformative process to restore balance, wellness and clarity.

During the 2-hour workshop, you will:

  • Lay the groundwork for understanding the principles of Ayurveda
  • Deepen your understanding of the body-mind connection
  • Uncover the methodology of a 5-day cleanse to integrate all your new knowledge!

You will gain access to exclusive online content I have created to guide you through your cleanse. This supporting material will present simple daily practices to incorporate into each day of the cleanse, including recipes, guided audio meditations, journaling prompts, and more. The online content will be made available for 31 days after the workshop for you to have the flexibility to conduct your cleanse according to your schedule.

A cleanse is an excellent yearly practice that offers lasting benefits, such as:

  • Improving digestion by learning to deeply listen to your body
  • Trusting in the inherent wisdom of yourself
  • Feeling lighter, brighter, and more clear
  • Realigning with what nourishes and serves you.

If you have participated in a reset/cleanse with me before, please note that its format continues to evolve. I’m continually evolving in my understanding of Ayurveda and incorporating the latest scientific research; this updated program reflects deeper insights.

This practice is excellent for both beginners and seasoned pros; find support and community in embarking on this journey together.

Digestion is a physical, mental, and emotional process. Through the harmonizing practices of Ayurveda and yoga, cultivate a deeper understanding of how Agni, the digestive fire, is the bedrock of a healthy and long life, and its importance at all levels of being.

Discover ways to:

– Eliminate sluggishness, lethargy, and cloudiness
– Support physical, mental, and emotional detoxification
– Improve Agni to increase energy, clarity, and resilience
– Burn off the old to make space for the new

Part-yoga class, part-discussion, come prepared to dig deeper into the ways we can be in partnership with ourselves. Uncover daily rituals that will last a lifetime, and tap and into your internal rhythms and inherent healing power.

Please note that it is best to come with any empty stomach to experience maximum benefit from the healing practices we will do (ie avoid eating for 2-3 hours prior to the workshop).

This workshop is limited to 20 participants. Each participant will receive a ritual kit to take home that will contain tools to aid them in their continued journey of tapping into your body’s innate wisdom.

Register at www.yogapublic.com.

Ayurvedic Spring Reset!

Engage in a transformative process that is based on the healing traditions of Ayurveda and yoga to restore balance, wellness and clarity. Find a deeper connection to yourself and realign with what nourishes and serves you.

As complementary practices, Ayurveda and yoga seek to address the well-being of an individual’s body, mind and spirit. According to Ayurveda, the change of seasons is the natural time to reset ourselves, boost Agni (metabolism), and remove Ama (toxins).

The 2-hour workshop lays the groundwork for understanding the principles of Ayurveda and covers the methodology of a 5-day cleanse. Thereafter, online content (recipes, guided meditation recordings, and more!) will be made accessible exclusively to workshop participants to support them on their continuing journey. For each day, participants will be presented a practice (sadhana) to incorporate into their daily routine. Discover practices that are sustainable, simple, and restorative.

This is an opportunity to take time for ourselves and listen carefully to the feedback that our bodies provide. The focus will be on integrating Ayurvedic eating principles (including recipes), mindfulness, and self-reflection to help reset the body-mind as we move into a new season.

This practice is excellent for both beginners and seasoned pros; find support and community in embarking on this journey together. If you have participated in a cleanse with Adrienne before, please note that this is an evolved format. Adrienne continually strives to advance her understanding of Ayurveda, and this updated program reflects deeper insights.

Ayurvedic Spring Reset workshop Apr 15 2018

Ayurveda workshop at Snowflake Festival in Winnipeg!

***UPDATE: registration for this workshop is full.***

Join me on Sunday January 21st, 2018 (3:45-5 pm) at the Snowflake Wellness Festival in Winnipeg! I will be doing a creative workshop discussing the healing methods of Ayurveda. Check out the workshop’s description below:

Ayurveda: A Life of Balance, Inner-healing, and Self-Love

Through an emphasis on addressing an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional aspects, Ayurveda is a traditional healing method for achieving wellness and harmony. Considered the sister science of yoga, it offers the methods to guide our path towards inner healing in a way that is sustainable, rooted, and holistic.

One of the most important principles of Ayurveda is that of balance; one aspect of balance is the interplay between ourselves and the environment we live in. Through this workshop, discover daily self-care practices and considered cooking and food choices that enable us to connect deeper with ourselves and the world around us. Unearth simple, logical wisdom that enables resilience, well-being, and self-love.

Join Adrienne Shum (MSc, ALC) for an inspiring discussion on how the grounded, wise system of Ayurveda can be applied to your unique needs and lifestyle, and propel your journey towards wholeness.
