Summer solstice SOUND BATH livestream – join us on YouTube!

Join us for a YouTube livestream on Thursday, June 18th at 7:30-8:30 PM CDT (8:30-9:30 PM EDT) for a sound bath to mark the summer solstice.

2020 has been an intense year already, to say the least. With all that is happening, let’s take some time to slow down and process what we are experiencing. Give yourself the chance to receive sound that promotes healing.

A sound bath is a meditation on sound: we practise awakening to sound, and rooting ourselves in sound. You may be sitting or lying down. Listening through headphones can enhance the experience, but it is not necessary.

You will be emailed a private link to gain access to the livestream on the day of the sound bath (June 18th). When you click on the link, it’ll open up in your internet browser or YouTube app, depending on the device you are viewing it on (computer/tablet/smartphone). The email will be sent to the email address you use during the payment process. Please ensure you enter a valid email address.

10% of all proceeds will be donated to A Dollar A Day Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting frontline mental health and addictions programs across Canada. Thank you for making a difference.

Sorry, no refunds. Please read our terms here.

Ayurvedic Spring Reset 2019

Join me on Sunday, April 28th (3-5 pm, $55+GST) at Yoga Public, 280 Fort St for this year’s Ayurvedic Spring Reset!

According to Ayurveda, the change of seasons is the natural time to reset ourselves, boost Agni (metabolism), and remove Ama (toxins). Learn about the complementary healing practices of Ayurveda and yoga to engage in a transformative process to restore balance, wellness and clarity.

During the 2-hour workshop, you will:

  • Lay the groundwork for understanding the principles of Ayurveda
  • Deepen your understanding of the body-mind connection
  • Uncover the methodology of a 5-day cleanse to integrate all your new knowledge!

You will gain access to exclusive online content I have created to guide you through your cleanse. This supporting material will present simple daily practices to incorporate into each day of the cleanse, including recipes, guided audio meditations, journaling prompts, and more. The online content will be made available for 31 days after the workshop for you to have the flexibility to conduct your cleanse according to your schedule.

A cleanse is an excellent yearly practice that offers lasting benefits, such as:

  • Improving digestion by learning to deeply listen to your body
  • Trusting in the inherent wisdom of yourself
  • Feeling lighter, brighter, and more clear
  • Realigning with what nourishes and serves you.

If you have participated in a reset/cleanse with me before, please note that its format continues to evolve. I’m continually evolving in my understanding of Ayurveda and incorporating the latest scientific research; this updated program reflects deeper insights.

This practice is excellent for both beginners and seasoned pros; find support and community in embarking on this journey together.

Winter Solstice Kirtan

Join David and I for an evening of Kirtan, a meditative practice of cultivating mindfulness through sound and breath. We will be doing our last kirtan of 2018 at Yoga Public on Sunday December 16th (6-7:30 pm, $20). The winter solstice is December 21st, so as we approach the darkest day of the year, let us join together and share our inner light.

Kirtan uses mantras to develop awareness and equanimity. Mantras are short repetitive phrases, and while they might seem esoteric at first, we are all already repeating mantras to ourselves – but usually they are negative things like, “I’m not worthy” or “I don’t belong.” We need to hit the reset button, and practice helps with that. Recalibrate yourself with traditional mantras that call in compassion, love, and understanding.

All are welcome and no experience is necessary! Enjoy the opportunity to be transformed through the power of live music, storytelling, and community in an intimate setting. All you need is to come prepared to sit (chairs will be available) and soak it all in.

Pre-register at www.yogapublic.com. See you there!
