Pay it forward!

With offering Saravat Ayurvedic Rituals, I am having the chance to further define what matters to me, and what principles I want to stand for. The ethical teachings of yoga have been a welcome guide as I navigate the exciting (and honestly, sometimes stressful) waters of creating and sharing one’s work, and I am so grateful for all the lessons, and look forward to many more.

To apply my yoga practice beyond the mat, it is important to me to define sustainable business practices that allow me to support myself, purchase materials from suppliers that I align with (ie support local, ethical, and environmentally-sensitive businesses), while maintaining the accessibility of what I offer – I want everyone to have tools to support their well-being! Every little decision I make about Saravat considers this interplay, and while I doubt I will ever find perfection in it, I hope to find refinement.

These factors also lend themselves to how I decide to price Saravat offerings. I try my best to price the goods I make where there is a fair acknowledgement of the energy, time, and valuable resources that went into their creation, while also realizing that not everyone has bucket loads of money to spend on Ayurvedic healthcare.

With Black Friday looming, I have found myself in the position of deciding whether or not to join in on this annual “celebration.” After much deliberation, I have arrived at this:

There will be no flash sales, coupon codes, or rock bottom prices. There will be no fear of missing out. There will be no undermining of what’s truly valuable, which is well-being, that of each individual, as well as the collective, and of our earth-home.

Instead, the prices are (and will always be) as fair as I can make them. And, we can have the chance to pay it forward.

50% of all profits gained on Nov 23-26th, 2018, through Saravat purchases online and in-person will be donated to Vipassana Meditation Foundation. This is of personal significance to me, as I have greatly benefited from their donation and volunteer-based model of offering meditation retreats worldwide. They promote a sincere and committed meditation practice, while striving to make it accessible to all.

It is my hope that you will be inspired to also pay it forward. Whether that means you purchase Saravat, continue your yoga practice (maybe go to a vipassana retreat!), or simply take good care of your beloveds, I am happy and grateful that you have given me this opportunity to share this with you.

Thank you!!

Introducing: Saravat.

One aspect of this year’s Ayurvedic Spring Reset that I’m strongly emphasizing is skincare. Our skin is:

– the largest organ of the body
– our protective barrier from the elements
– an external indicator of our internal health.

Just like how we take care of the food we eat, Ayurveda teaches us to take care of what we put on our skin.

For several years I have made my own skin lotions and serums, sharing them with a few friends and clients – and with their encouragement, now I am going to share them with you!

I’m so excited to launch Saravat, my collection of Ayurvedic skincare rituals. Everything has been made according to Ayurvedic principles, and with lots of heartfelt purpose and intention. I’m starting off with just a few items, but plan to offer more as time goes on.

We are going to ease into things by having only local pick-up at the upcoming Reset workshop and set dates (the Saravat website will have more details) – but shipping options will come shortly.

Please visit my online shop by clicking here!

I hope that these Saravat formulas support you in your journey towards healing and well-being.

Namaste,
Adrienne

Ayurvedic Spring Reset!

Engage in a transformative process that is based on the healing traditions of Ayurveda and yoga to restore balance, wellness and clarity. Find a deeper connection to yourself and realign with what nourishes and serves you.

As complementary practices, Ayurveda and yoga seek to address the well-being of an individual’s body, mind and spirit. According to Ayurveda, the change of seasons is the natural time to reset ourselves, boost Agni (metabolism), and remove Ama (toxins).

The 2-hour workshop lays the groundwork for understanding the principles of Ayurveda and covers the methodology of a 5-day cleanse. Thereafter, online content (recipes, guided meditation recordings, and more!) will be made accessible exclusively to workshop participants to support them on their continuing journey. For each day, participants will be presented a practice (sadhana) to incorporate into their daily routine. Discover practices that are sustainable, simple, and restorative.

This is an opportunity to take time for ourselves and listen carefully to the feedback that our bodies provide. The focus will be on integrating Ayurvedic eating principles (including recipes), mindfulness, and self-reflection to help reset the body-mind as we move into a new season.

This practice is excellent for both beginners and seasoned pros; find support and community in embarking on this journey together. If you have participated in a cleanse with Adrienne before, please note that this is an evolved format. Adrienne continually strives to advance her understanding of Ayurveda, and this updated program reflects deeper insights.

Details: Sunday April 15th, 3-5 pm, $55+GST, at Yoga Public
