Stoking the fire: how yoga and Ayurveda can heal the digestive system.

Join me on Sunday, February 3, 2019 (3-5 pm, $50) at Yoga Public (280 Fort St) for an immersive workshop of study and practice: we will be delving into how the practices of yoga and Ayurveda can help us heal our digestive system.

Digestion is a physical, mental, and emotional process. Through the harmonizing practices of Ayurveda and yoga, cultivate a deeper understanding of how Agni, the digestive fire, is the bedrock of a healthy and long life, and its importance at all levels of being.

Discover ways to:

– Eliminate sluggishness, lethargy, and cloudiness
– Support physical, mental, and emotional detoxification
– Improve Agni to increase energy, clarity, and resilience
– Burn off the old to make space for the new

Part-yoga class, part-discussion, come prepared to dig deeper into the ways we can be in partnership with ourselves. Uncover daily rituals that will last a lifetime, and tap and into your internal rhythms and inherent healing power.

Please note that it is best to come with any empty stomach to experience maximum benefit from the healing practices we will do (ie avoid eating for 2-3 hours prior to the workshop).

This workshop is limited to 20 participants. Each participant will receive a ritual kit to take home that will contain tools to aid them in their continued journey of tapping into your body’s innate wisdom.

We are going to be guest teachers…

If you are interested in diving deeper into your yoga practice, a teacher training can offer more insight into the various aspects of yoga – there is always more to learn!

David Quiring and I will be guest-teaching again at the Sky Yoga Teacher Training led by Siobhan Keely in Winnipeg this spring (April 24-May 19). ¬†David and I will lead a workshop together on Kirtan and chanting practice, and I will lead an introductory workshop on Ayurveda. ¬†For more information about the training, please visit Siobhan’s website: http://www.siobhankeely.com/.
