Our latest kirtan album is now available for download on Bandcamp! Recorded on November 8th, 2019, enjoy practising and listening to these healing sounds. Our focus that evening was on cultivating compassion, surrender, and love – in order to hold space for change. It feels especially timely to remember this – more than ever – as our local and global communities undergo massive shifts due to a worldwide pandemic.
Join David Quiring and I for a kirtan, hosted again by the wonderful Natasha Lenon in her cozy Little Hive Yoga Studio!
Kirtan is the yoga practice of call-and-response chanting, a method of concentrating the mind and cultivating compassion through the power of sound and resonance. Since it’ll be a week before Valentine’s Day, we will be focusing our chants and discussion on universal love and compassion.
Space is limited; secure your spot by registering at www.littlehiveyoga.ca. Exact location will be given upon completion of payment. Rest assured that it is located close to the University of Manitoba, and is bus accessible. Some chairs and props will be available for seating, but if you have your own meditation cushion, please bring it!

A piece that David read out at our last kirtan; it’s a beautiful reminder of the ephemerality of everything.
