Plan ahead for the fall! Angie Pringle and I are co-leading a workshop series at Yoga Public (280 Fort St, Winnipeg) exploring how food and healthy movement can improve how we feel and set us up for chasing those bigger life goals. Angie has a BA in Kinesiology, and is a Wellness Consultant, certified Personal Trainer, Function Movement Screen Specialist, and Precision Nutrition Coach. Combined with my Masters in Food Science, certification as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counsellor, and yoga teaching experience, you will get both breadth and depth from our discussion on food habits and holistic wellness.
Our first workshop, Working with Cravings, will be on Saturday, October 29th (3:30-5 pm, $35). While coming to all the workshops will be more immersive and allow for deeper integration of the principles we will discuss, you will find great benefit in checking out even just one! November will be DIY Kitchen Staples (a look into processed foods and how we can easily make our own healthier versions) and January will be Plant Proteins and You (a discussion of non-meat protein options, including a visit from a local farmer). Stay tuned for more!
Going deeper into practice?
If you are interested in diving deeper into your yoga practice, a teacher training can offer more insight into the various aspects of yoga. There is always more to learn! David Quiring and I will be guest-teaching in two teacher trainings this summer. Check out:

Harmony Tree Yoga Studio

A Yoga Alliance-certified 200-hour training in Morden, MB. This training began in November 2015 and is being offered in 10 weekend modules. David and I will be leading a Kirtan/chanting workshop in July.
Welcome spring with a kirtan!
Spring is a wonderful time for new beginnings: as the earth thaws and reawakens, it is a great opportunity to shed old skins and make room for something fresh. Clean out the proverbial closet by joining us for a kirtan at 3-1200 Portage Ave, on Friday April 22nd (7:00-8:45 pm, $25). This is where we recorded our first live kirtan album (download it here!), so we are excited to be back in this space again. There is free parking on the street, and if you like, you can pre-register with Bahram (our lovely host). Hope to see you there!
