granola bars and other foods.

Thanks so much to everyone that came to the Om Nom Nom Nourish workshop at the Prairie Yogi studio this weekend!  It was so lovely to share the practices of yoga and Ayurveda with you.  If you are looking for the recipes for the Winter Sun Granola Bars and the Pumpkin Ginger Cranberry Snack Bars that I made for the workshop, please visit my food blog at www.twohollowlegs.wordpress.com.

Until next time, may you keep eating and living well!

keeping in touch.

Hi all!  I hope your 2015 is off to a good start and you are staying warm and cozy in the midst of a Canadian prairie winter.  A reminder that tomorrow (Friday, January 8th) is our Kirtan at 3-1200 Portage Ave, 6-8 pm ($10 suggested donation).  We look forward to enjoying some chanting and sacred sound with you!

To stay updated with events, consider subscribing to my newsletter – I promise not to spam your inboxes, and there will always be interesting tidbits of yoga/Ayurveda/Kirtan-related fun included!  You can add your email to the list here.

So to entice you, here is the first newsletter I sent out a few weeks ago, which includes the following clip of Christmas-themed Kirtan!  Oh, the nostalgia.

Stay warm, and see you soon!  Namaste.

I’m really looking forward to this event: join me for a day of gentle yoga (suitable for all levels), yummy treats, and a discussion about how Ayurveda can help you thrive in winter.  We will do simple meditation practices that focus on cultivating deeper appreciation for our bodies and the food we nourish ourselves with.  Tickets are going fast, so check out the Prairie Yogi website to get yours!

A day of silence.

My yoga teacher Jonathan Austman is leading a day of silent practice on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  There will be guided seated and walking meditation, yoga, and a deliciously Ayurvedic and vegetarian lunch prepared by moi!  If you are interested, please send Susan Claire (our lovely administrator and fellow practitioner) an email at: scjohnson43(at)yahoo(dot)com.  Space is limited, so consider registering early.  I hope you can join us for a contemplative day of study and practice.
