Practise online with me!
Registration for the APRIL session is now OPEN. Please see below. Note that registration closes at 4 pm CT on the first day of class.
All classes are on Zoom, which allows me to see you and better connect with you and your practice. That being said, there is no pressure to have your camera on. Feel free to just say hi at the beginning and then do your thing.
My teaching style focuses on giving verbal cues so you don’t have to strain to see the screen and thus can be in YOUR body. There’ll also be demonstration, because some of us are visual learners. If you have any questions, send a message here.
4-WEEK APRIL SESSION
CASTING SHADOWS, RETRIEVING LIGHT: YIN & YANG YOGA
Mondays 5:30-6:30 pm CT
April 6, 13, 20, 27
$60 (includes 7-day replay)
Pain is an inevitable part of the lived experience. While we can’t choose pain, we can choose how we are with the pain. Resmaa Manakem (author and founder of somatic abolitionism) puts it this way: “dirty pain” is the pain of avoidance, blame, and denial, whereas “clean pain” still hurts, but it builds your capacity for growth. It fosters presence, vulnerability, and acceptance. It can be generative.
Practice can be a place where we slow down to be with what is: whether it’s pain, joy, or a confusing mixture of both. We learn how to be with what is in ways that can be nourishing and growth-oriented.
Each day of class, you will be emailed a unique Zoom link to gain access. Feel free to hop onto the Zoom 5 minutes early to say hi and chat!
Shortly after each class, a link to the recording will be sent out, which will be available for 7 days.
