YOGA FOR STRENGTH
Sundays Oct 18-Dec 6th, 10:30-11:30 am

8-week session
$178 (non-member rate) / $163 (member rate) incl GST

Strength isn’t just bracing; it’s about being steady through fluctuations. By building strength in the physical body, we feel more stable in our mental and emotional fluctuations as well. A steady body helps us to feel capable and ready for anything.

We will work up to playing at the edges of our comfort zone, and in that, I’ll offer modifications for postures so that you can find a version of the practice that suits you best.

YOGA FOR MOBILITY
Sundays Oct 18-Dec 6th, 12:00-1:00 pm

8-week session
$178 (non-member rate) / $163 (member rate) incl GST

For a myriad of reasons, we can grow stiff and lose control over our ranges of motion. Consistent effort is necessary to regain and maintain our mobility – use it or lose it! This eight-week yoga program is designed to offer a diverse and engaging approach into improving our range of motion. Through a blend of creative yoga sequencing, somatic awareness techniques, and Functional Range Conditioning, find progress in opening up different areas of the body (especially shoulders and hips).

Whether you are looking to prevent injury or simply feel more at home in your skin, all levels of experience are welcome.

Sundays Mar 22-May 3 (no class Apr 5), 12:00-1:00 pm

6-week session
$135 (non-member rate) / $120 (member rate) incl GST

This session blends yoga and Functional Range Conditioning principles to maintain and improve range of motion in our joints. We slow things down to release tension, which then makes room for new movement patterns. This is particularly important for aging bodies (i.e. all bodies), injury prevention and recovery (including healing scar tissue), and simply feeling better.

I offer options to dial up / down the intensity so that you can make the practice work for your needs. Sometimes taking a step back is the more challenging choice; sometimes taking baby steps is just the right fit. Learning to adjust the practice to suit you is a key component to self-stewardship.
