It’s hard to be grateful when we’re burnt out. “Be grateful” just becomes another thing on the to-do list that we’re not doing, or not doing well enough. Instead, can we reframe gratitude practice as a way to gain perspective? While we acknowledge struggle, we also acknowledge the gifts we receive?
Just like we try not to force the body into a certain way, we try not to force gratitude. We practise widening our frame of view, so that even if gratitude shows up in glimmers, we can let it nourish us.
