About Luna Lodge
Located on 60 acres of primary and secondary rainforest, Luna Lodge was recently named the #1 eco-lodge in Costa Rica by the Lonely Planet. Found on the pristine and captivating Osa Peninsula in Carate near Corcovado National Park, it boasts a stunning array of wildlife and nature to experience. Watch the video below made by Luna Lodge to get a glimpse into life in one of the most bio-diverse spots on the planet.
Luna Lodge participates in the CST (Certification of Sustainable Tourism) program, which has been recognized by the World Tourism Organization as gradually improving environmental and social impacts of tourism. Besides initiatives for conserving water, reducing greenhouse emissions, and employing local citizens, the lodge itself is completely self-sufficient through hydro-power. The founder of Luna Lodge is also founder of the White Hawk Foundation, dedicated to acquiring forested lands for protection of all of the wildlife in the Carate River Valley. These areas will join a protected corridor that will span from Corcovado National Park to Luna Lodge and continue to the southern end of the peninsula, increasing the area where animals can roam freely and be protected.
Luna Lodge has a beautiful outdoor yoga platform with panoramic views of the surrounding jungle.
